INTRODUCTION
Chris and Lilian Welcome you to the Fairhaven.
The Fairhaven is a fully licensed 10 bedroom Guest Accommodation situated in the popular Palatine Road Resort Neighbourhood. All our bedrooms are fully en-suite with five on the first floor and five on the upper floor. Catering for couples and families, dancers and conference delegates the Fairhaven does not cater for groups of Stags and Hens. Offering Quality , Value and Cleanliness at all times the Fairhaven is the ideal choice for a short break, overnight stay or a summer holiday. Unfortunately we do not have any ground floor rooms for guests with disabilities. The Fairhaven is a Non Smoking Establishment. Unfortunately we do not cater for pets.Children under 5 not allowed.
PRE ARRIVAL
Our website www.fairhavenhotelblackpool.co.uk provides more information on rooms and facilities provided. We can be contacted by email or telephone. (Answer machine available when away from hotel). Bus stations and Blackpool North Railway station are a 5 minute taxi ride away. The growing Blackpool International Airport at Squires Gate is a 10 minute taxi ride away. Access to the resort is very good with excellent motorway links right to heart of Blackpool. A map detailing our address is available on our website.
ARRIVAL and CAR PARKING FACILITIES
Rooms are available from 2.00pm on day of arrival , although if required earlier booking in times can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Limited free car parking is available at the rear of the property on a first come first served basis. Access to the front of the property is down the side , this is illuminated on an evening. For guests arriving by taxi etc there are two 13cm steps from the pavement through a gate 85cm wide. he front door has 1 further 20cm step with the door 120cm
MAIN ENTRANCE & RECEPTION
The main entrance leading into the reception is 100cm wide and the hallway is 130cm wide Reception is located at the bottom of the hallway where there is a bell available to summon the proprietors. Guests are greeted on arrival and asked to complete a registration form and have an informal chat with the proprietors to discuss their holiday requirements. Guests are respectively asked to settle their account on arrival. Payment is accepted in cash or by credit / debit card. Payment by Visa or Mastercard carry a 2% surcharge. The hallway is covered by short pile carpet throughout. The property benefits from central heating and double glazing throughout.
PUBLIC AREAS - GENERAL ( Internal)
The dining room and bar lounge are located on the ground floor , each having doors of 80cm wide. The dining room benefits from glass top tables approx 85cm high and accompanying armless chairs with seat heights 43cm. The bar has surround seating 45cm high, 5 bar tables 70cm high with stools 47 cm high. Short pile carpet is in both areas. The bar is open as and when required by guests. Residents can invite non residents into the bar by prior arrangement with the proprietors.
PUBLIC AREAS - WC
We have one public toilet situated on the first landing. This is reached by 13 steps 20cm deep. A handrail is located on the staircase.
DINING ROOM / BAR LOUNGE
Choice of menu for both Breakfast and Evening Dinner Breakfast served between 8.45am and 9.15am Evening Dinner served at 5.00pm. Meal times can be altered by prior arrangement for dancers and delegates.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES
There are two benches at the front of the property for guests use. There is a wall mounted ashtray in this area for guests wishing to smoke.

Not available although Wireless Internet Connectivity is available throughout.
BEDROOMS
All bedrooms are non smoking. There are 5 bedrooms on the first floor, a central staircase runs through the property with handrail support. The first floor is reached by 13 steps each 20cm deep. Rooms 1 and 2 are located to the rear of the property accessed by 2 further steps. Rooms 3 , 4 and 5 are reached via a further 3 steps , room 3 to the side of the property , rooms 4 and 5 located at the front. Each bedroom doorway is 80 cm wide. The second floor is reached by a further 11 steps each 20cm deep, rooms 9 and 10 to the rear , rooms 7 and 8 to the side and room 6 to the front. Fire doors are located on each landing and all bedrooms have LD2 fire system installed with siren and strobe facilities. All corridors have emergency lighting and LD2 sensors. Fire and Emergency Procedures are described on the back of each bedroom door and also in the bedroom browsers. Each bedroom is fully en-suite with co-ordinating décor, easy chair , remote control colour tv , radio alarm clock , hospitality trays , hairdryers and complimentary toiletries and towels. Rooms are serviced on a daily basis. Spare blankets are available. All bedrooms have short pile carpet, wireless internet, central heating and double glazing.
BATHROOMS, SHOWER ROOMS and WC (EN -SUITE)
All bathrooms have tiled or fitted linoleum flooring , shower cubicle , pedestal sink , toilet and shaving point above mirror. Towels rails are provided. Where the bathroom has an outside window, heated towels rails or heater are provided.
ATTRACTIONS
The Fairhaven is ideally located just a 5 minute stroll from the Town Centre and Promenade. Theatres , bars , shopping centre and Working Men’s Clubs are all easily accessible from the Fairhaven

FUTURE PLANS
Ongoing refurbishment. Bedroom furniture to be replaced on upper floor and bedroom carpets replaced where needed.New carpets have been fitted in 4 bedrooms and the Bar Lounge and Dining room for the 2009 season.
